In a Forest Nearby

I have the extravagant good fortune to live 10 minutes’ drive from the 361-sq-km (139-sq-mi) Gatineau Park, just outside of Canada’s capital, Ottawa. Much of this vast area is forested. I began visiting the park regularly in 2024, taking photographs of the landscape and people who came there. What I hope is emerging with this ongoing series is a contemplation on our connection with the natural environment, and our future.
